Data protection

This data protection declaration clarifies the type, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data within our website and the websites, functions and content connected to it, as well as external online presences, such as our social media profiles (hereinafter jointly referred to as “website”) . With regard to the terms used, such as “processing” or “person responsible”, we refer to the definitions in Art. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Definitions

  5. File system
    “File system” is any structured collection of personal data that is accessible according to certain criteria, regardless of whether this collection is managed centrally, decentrally or according to functional or geographical criteria.
  6. Responsible person
    “Responsible” is a natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body that alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data; If the purposes and means of this processing are specified by Union law or the law of the member states, the person responsible or the specific criteria for his appointment can be provided for in accordance with Union law or the law of the member states.
  7. Processor
    “Processor” is a natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the person responsible.
  8. recipient
    “Recipient” is a natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body to which personal data is disclosed, regardless of whether it is a third party or not. Authorities that may receive personal data as part of a specific investigation under Union law or the law of the member states are not considered recipients; The processing of this data by the named authorities takes place in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations in accordance with the purposes of the processing.
  9. Third

Lawfulness of processing

  5. The processing is necessary for the performance of a task that is in the public interest or is carried out in the exercise of official authority that has been assigned to the person responsible;
  6. Processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party, unless the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, which require the protection of personal data, prevail, especially if the data subject is a child .

If the legal basis is not mentioned in the data protection declaration, the following applies: The legal basis for obtaining consent is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a and Art. 7 GDPR, the legal basis for processing for the performance of our services and the implementation of contractual measures as well as answering inquiries is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, the legal basis for processing to fulfill our legal obligations is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR, and the legal basis for processing to safeguard our legitimate interests is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. In accordance with Art. 32 GDPR, taking into account the state of the art, the implementation costs and the type, scope, circumstances and purposes of processing as well as the different probability of occurrence and severity of the risk for the rights and freedoms of natural persons, we make suitable technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk.

The measures include, in particular, securing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data by controlling physical access to the data, as well as the access, input, transfer, ensuring availability and their separation. Furthermore, we have set up procedures that ensure the exercise of data subject rights, deletion of data and reaction to data threats. Furthermore, we already consider the protection of personal data during the development or selection of hardware, software and procedures, in accordance with the principle of data protection through technology design and data protection-friendly default settings (Art. 25 GDPR).

  6. Right to restriction of processing

  7. Right to data portability

    The person responsible takes appropriate measures to protect the rights and freedoms as well as the legitimate interests of the person concerned, including at least the right to obtain the intervention of a person on the part of the person responsible, to express their own point of view and to contest the decision.

  10. Right to complain to a supervisory authority

Furthermore, on the basis of our business interests, we store information about suppliers, organizers and other business partners, e.g. for the purpose of later contact. We generally store this mostly company-related data permanently.

Integration of Google reCAPTCHA

  1. We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
  2. The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether data is entered on our website (e.g. in a contact form) by a person or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, length of stay of the website visitor on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis are forwarded to Google.
  3. The reCAPTCHA analyzes run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
  4. The data processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offers from abusive automated spying and from SPAM.

We use Adobe Fonts for the uniform representation of fonts. Adobe Fonts is provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd., 4-6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, Ireland.
